👨⚕️Patient’s Bill of Rights
Integrate Patient’s Bill of Rights wherever possible to inform the patient of their rights when it comes to receiving healthcare. The Patient’s Bill of Rights should be included with the informed consent form, and in the practice’s policy (which can be displayed in the clinic/office) to ensure that the patient is well informed of their rights. Things to include in the patient’s bill of rights:
Patients have a right to competent and respectful services that are free from abuse and harassment.
Patients have a right to privacy and confidentiality.
Patients have a right to refuse examinations and/or treatments.
Patients have a right to access their medical records.

I am fully aware that I have the right to ask questions about anything that happens in sessions. I understand that I have the right to suggest an alternative method as well as to refuse any therapeutic techniques. I also understand that I can ask the therapist about their training for working with my concerns, and I can request that I be referred to someone else if I decide that the therapist is not right for me. I understand that at any moment, without financial penalty, I have the right to withdraw my consent and deny services.
