# Preparations for a LGBTQIA+ Affirming GBV Service

Establishing an LGBTQIA+ affirming and survivor-centered GBV response may seem challenging, but with proactive planning, it is entirely achievable. This inclusive approach holds the potential to benefit all clients, not limited to LGBTQIA+ people, and extends beyond survivors. In this section, we present a set of guidelines designed to empower service providers toward greater inclusivity.

This section covers:

* [Reviewing service forms ](/lgbtqia+-affirming-toolkits/gbv-response-toolkit/section-4/preparations-for-a-lgbtqia+-affirming-gbv-service/how-to-make-your-forms-inclusive.md)

**Additional ways to demonstrate support for GBV survivors**

Beyond the strategies and recommendations provided in this toolkit, service providers and allies are encouraged to

* express support by issuing statements of solidarity. They should also reaffirm their organization's stance and values concerning GBV and LGBTQIA+ people.
* Include SOGIESC as an intersection in their GBV advocacy with the government or other stakeholders
 {% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://rainbowforward.gitbook.io/lgbtqia+-affirming-toolkits/gbv-response-toolkit/section-4/preparations-for-a-lgbtqia+-affirming-gbv-service.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
